PHReNet

Welcome to the Primary Health Care Research Network (PHReNet).

Established in 2001, PHReNet aims to build capacity in primary health care research and evaluation. PHReNet uses a bottom up, regionally focused approach to support and nurture primary health care professionals and organisations wishing to undertake or use the results of research or evaluation.

PHReNet operates in four regional nodes:

  • South West Sydney
  • South and Eastern Sydney
  • Greater Murray
  • Illawarra and Shoalhaven

PHReNet is part of the UNSW Research Capacity Building Initiative (RCBI) and is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. Professor Nicholas Zwar is the Director of the UNSW RCBI program.
